Letter Received from Rats of Tobruk Association Inc re 2021 Anniversary

Hi David,

I'm part of a project research team creating tributes for all who served (over 14,000) during the siege of Tobruk - The Descendants of the Rats of Tobruk Association Inc. We have a website at www.ratsoftobrukdescendants.org.au

I was wondering if you could email me a photo or studio portrait of Max Herron in his uniform and could I also ask for a photo of his medals, so that we can get that accurate on his tribute.

We are hoping to complete all tributes for the 80th anniversary in April next year (2021). Copies of them will also be provided to the AWM and RSLs.

If you could please pass on to your Pioneer members, whose soldier served during the siege, I'd be grateful and quite happy for you to pass on my email address - good1deb@gmail.com for them to forward the required information.

If they do this, could they use their Rat's name and service number in the subject line. The information I would need from them is:-

Full name
Date of death
Place of death
Photo in uniform
Photo of medals

All other information needed can be obtained from NAA records
